PTV Sports

PTV Sports is a national sports channel of Pakistan which was launched on 14th of January 2012. Although the test transmission of the channel began on Asia Sat in December 2011.  PTV Sports is all about sports; it covers all events that are widely watched in the fields of sports.

From the day the channel started it is showing sports shows on cricket, hockey, football, etc. It has a high number of viewership which is increasing every day. People watch the channel to know what’s going on in sports. It also transmits Sports news; it transmits all about sports activities going around. The channel can also be viewed through dish antenna. There are many branches of PTV network, one of them is PTV Sports and there are many others like PTV Home, PTV News, PTV National, PTV world, PTV Bolan, PTV Global and AJK TV.

It is a 24 hour sports channel with nonstop sports events!

Two famous programs on the channel are Sports Circle and Keh Dein Jo Kehna Hai.

Muhammad Ali Sanwal is the host of Sports Circle. Aamir Sohail, a retired cricketer also accompanies him during the show. The show is a flagship program of PTV Sports.

Mirza Iqbal Baig is the host of Keh Dein Jo Kehna Hai, the program started some time back. It discusses about various sports like hockey, cricket, etc.

The channel has broadcasted many cricket events such as Pak Vs Eng series, Asia Cup 2012, Pak vs SL, Pak vs Aus 2012, ICC t20 world cup 2012, Aus vs RSA, Champion League T20, Aus vs SL (ongoing series), Pak vs Ind, Big Bash League 2012-2013. In events of football, it transmitted UEFA EURO CUP 2012, Barclay’s premier league (this was transmitted for the first time in Pakistan), FA cup. In hockey they transmitted all events of Federation of International Hockey of both men and women.

PTV has license to broadcast all matches till 2016, it will also show Olympics 2016 and many other tournaments of ICC.
