Moeen akhtar was Pakistan’s television, film, and stage actor. He was the host of many programs. He wrote plays, directed and produced films. He was a singer as well. He got worldwide fame due to his comedy and humorous programs that he presented. He was truly a legend and a versatile actor. He could be said one of the pioneers in the field of comedy who laid the foundation of comedy in Pakistan.
Moeen Akhtar was born on 24 December 1950 in Karachi to Urdu speaking Kashmiri parents who migrated from Mumbai, India. He gave his first performance for television on defense day of Pakistan on 6 September 1966. After that, he performed in many programs. He worked with many artists of that time but his chemistry matched best with the Anwar Maqsood and Bushra Ansari and later he made a team with them. People of all age groups loved him because of his humorous acting. He never gave the color of vulgarity to his humor that shows a positive character of Moeen Akher and this was another reason of his popularity among family audience. According to Moeen Akhtar, “I was quite a character; imitating teachers in school. My friends and family were in awe of this talent and I soon find myself catering requests to mimic just about anyone and everybody. ”
He was not just a good comedian but a noble and kindhearted man too. He ruled on show business by ruling many areas of performing arts during his career spread on half century. His performance always had diversity and during his career he performed more than 1000 different characters successfully. He also liked to sing and he sung some songs as well. However, Moeen Akhtar’s native language was Urdu but he was very fluent in some other languages like English, Bengali, Sindhi, Punjabi, Pashto, Memon and Gujrati.

Some of his performances can be seen in shows like such much, angan terha, dollar man, eid train, loose talk, half plate, yes sir no sir, Moeen Akhtar show etc. However, the most popular shows of Mooen Akhtar are Rozi, Angan Terha, Loose talk and such mush. His performance was not restricted to Pakistan. He performed in many other countries like in India he performed stage shows like Bakra Qistoon Pay and Buddha Ghar Py Hy with another legendry comedian Umer Shareef and was praised by the audience.
Moeen Akhtar was a heart patient and died on 22 April 2011 due to a heart attack. He was the ace comedian and king of the Pakistan show business. Madame Tussauds a wold famous wax museum showed a desire to include the statue of Moeen Akhtar in their London museum.
