At the same time some further studies by WWF point out the location in Baroghil Valley the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

From Gilgit the lake is at the distance of 205 km. Several maps undoubtedly prove that the total span of lake is positioned inside the borders of Gilgit–Baltistan. Besides that, the flow of the lake itself diffuse the mystification about its locality as it flows down towards Ishkoman. The estimated span of the lake is 3.9 kilometers, width is 2 km and its average depth is 52 meters. This lake is the deepest lake in the valley with an utmost and signified deepness of 55m and 17.08m correspondingly and it extends more than a surface area of 263.44 hectares.

The lake discharges into the valley Karamber of Gilgit Baltistan. Its water clarity point is 13.75 and this is the maximum value ever recorded in the history of lakes in Pakistan. The neighboring mountain glaciers that melt in the summer season nourish the lake. To capture the spectacular scenery of this lake visit it in summers. The view of this lake is just out of this world which is surrounded by lush green fields, mountains and reddish white flowers gives a refreshing look to the lake but be conscious of the famous Snow Leopards are also found here. Undoubtedly, this lake is among the leading beautiful lakes of the world.  Karomber Lake is surrounded by towering Pamir Mountains. To reach the lake there are four referred routes and these all routes are vigorous only few can approach the lake per year.
