Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is not famous just for its natural beauty, but also for its handicraft work. The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are very hard work, brave, and in creativity they are not behind from the other provinces of Pakistan. The products of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are very famous all over the country, and also exported to the other countries. The handmade products are very beautiful and catch the tourist’s attractions such this beautiful province is very famous for its handmade product that includes, woodwork, chappal making, woven shawls, stones jewelry, etc.

Jared Town is just like a village situated in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after two or three hours drive from Balakot on the road that goes to the lush green valley Naraan is become a prominent point of craved wood furniture, handmade wool shawls, and rugs. The green hills, waterfalls, and forest surrounded this beautiful town. This town is a glimpse of the stunning natural attraction that is located in the province and the beautiful handicraft products that are manufactured all over the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The provincial Government is also running an institute for the development of handicrafts in Jared town. The history of woodwork is very old so as the products that are being made with the wood. Craving the wood is an art. The craved wood is used for the decoration of the houses on the doors, and stair pillars make them more beautiful. In Jared town the craved woodwork is on the top and you can find a large variety of wood art. The second identification of the Jared town is handmade woolen shawls that are very nicely woven by the women of that town. The third famous product of this town is locally known as Namda rugs.

The history of this town does not complete without discussing the horrible earthquake in October 2005. This village had lost many lives and maximum all of its houses during this natural disaster. The time did not stop. After this earthquake once this beautiful village was destroyed, but now after more than five years the life is returning, the houses are built, the people are coming back from the other areas of the country.
