Importance of Ramadan

Ramadan the month of glory and the most valued month in the Islamic Calendar. To fast in the month of Ramadan is obligatory for all Muslims as it is the forth pillar of Islam. The magnificent book of Islam that is Quran was also revealed in the holy month of Ramadan. Lailatul Qadr the night of power also comes in this month. He (Allah) who has created this month, so that Muslims can offer prayers out of faith so that they can ask for forgiveness and to bless them. In this precious month of Ramadan Allah eases the way to paradise and shuts the gat of Hell. Even the Devils are chained in this month so that Muslims can worship God without any hurdle.

Every night he forgives people and redeems them from fire. Fasting in Ramadan means to ask for forgiveness for our wrong deeds this the way one can expiate its sins by promising not to repeat them again. If a person keeps fast in Ramadan then that will be corresponding to fasting ten months which is a great reward. We can observe the importance of Ramadan by this reward of God that if someone in Ramadan Qayams with Imam in mosque, it will be witnessed that as he has spent whole night in prayer.

The superior of all, if you perform Umrah during this month than that will be equal to Hajj. In Ramadan it is a Sunnah to perform Itikaf. To recite Holy Quran during this month rewards a lot, even to offer iftar to the poor or whose fasting has a great importance in this month. Hazrat Salman RA stated that our Holy Prophet said one day before Ramadan, that on you a month is coming that is an immense and sacred month; in that month is one night that is better than a thousand months.

To offer prayers in night during this month has a great reward and it is compulsory for all Muslims to fast in this month. Who so ever performs a good deed in Ramadan to achieve the adherence of God, will be equally rewarded as the acts perform in ay other month and any one who performs an obligatory act in this month gets the reward parallel to that of seventy obligatory acts in any other month. It is the month in which one can achieve as much reward as much they can and the blessing of God doubles in Ramadan for every believer.
